NEW DARK SHADOWS PHOTOS

New photos for Tim Burton's highly anticipated gothic yarn, Dark Shadows, have surfaced over at Empire. One features Michelle Pfeiffer and Jonny Lee Miller taking direction between takes with their director and the other features Johnny Depp's Barnabas Collins after he, presumably, just had dinner. Two things I take away from these photos; Burton seems to be embracing his usual bizarre, gruesome side, what with Collins getting bloodied up (could we be looking at an R-Rating?) and two, he seems to have captured the look of the show perfectly. Almost frighteningly so, actually. So for fans of the director's masterful Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood and Sweeney Todd; it's time to get excited.

Oh, and Empire confirmed that Dark Shadows will be a 2D production. Hurrah!
