ROONEY MARA FOR OLDBOY?

File this under rumour, but Twitch is reporting that their sources say Rooney Mara is being targeted for the female lead role in Spike Lee's remake of the 2003 Korean film, Oldboy. If cast (and it's important to remember she hasn't even been offered the role yet) Mara would star alongside the previously cast Josh Brolin. Twitch mentions that Christian Bale is also currently targeted for the villain role. It'll be interesting to see if Mara excepts, as this would be three remakes in a row for her (A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo being the two before). What say you readers? Would this be good casting? Or are you interested in a remake of Oldboy at all?
